That Air... That Struggle... That Process

Have you noticed how fire burning your heart and body gets after a super conference? That week, you will be on top of your game spiritually, You will want to make use of everything around you. The words of the speakers keep you alert every seconds and then after two weeks nothing comes to your brain anymore. A little test comes to prove us and gush! nothing shows up. We can't even remember a dime, we are back to being our old selves. Can I get a witness? who has been in this struggle or still experiencing this struggle?
This is it: It's beyond the excitement. Yeah, It's good to be excited but it's way beyond it. It requires constant meditation just like we do with our jobs, we want to be the best we constantly remind ourselves of where we are headed and how we want to get there. That's the same way we move with the spiritual. Because you had a brilliant conference doesn't mean your life will change automatically. The bible says, It's according to the Power that worketh in us not the power of the atmosphere or that of the teacher. The teacher teaches, the student meditates constantly. The test we receive just like students, is to make us ready for the next stage. To make us fit of the lecture we have received. Don't ask why you failed the test, carry your bible and notes and start studying all over again.

Remember, the Bible spoke about the different listeners?

r“A sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them.

Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, since they had no depth of soil,

but when the sun rose they were scorched. And since they had no root, they withered away.

Other seeds fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them.

Other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. He who has ears, let him hear'' {Matt 13:3-9}.

This is a perfect example of what many people pass through, they listen to the message and get carried away immediately after the service. The air has blown it all of. The good soil are those who have decided to make constant meditation, those who have decided not allow the worries and excitement of the moment blow them away. Those are the believers whose fruit will grow, whose land will yield great increase.

Start now by making sure that you don't just take notes in church but you decide to allow the notes be written boldly in your heart.

Decide to constantly meditate on the issues of life that can stretch you to working out those things you have learnt and what you have studied

Don't be over excited. Be a hard worker.

Dear Brother B, As a christian lady, it's sometimes difficult to see those good, calm, spiritual and cultured guys in the church. It looks like, they have all been married away and the rest of the ones left for us are chaffs. It's depressing when I have to talk and talk to Brother B about simple etiquettes. He doesn't know jack. He cannot even relate with what I want all he does is speak about some irrelevant things and when he asks me out and I decline, they will say, I flaunt a lot. Can two walk together except they agree? You know the answer already. We just want excellent men. We want men that are qualified to stand before kings and not ordinary men. Men with panache with the grace of God oozing out of them. It's not too much to ask for? Is it? Some 'spiritual' brothers will come and all they know how to do is speak with saliva dropping off at every conversation. Oh Days! Can we have some sanity? You don't even know how to speak well, this isn't...
Those Kinda Imaginations As christians it's our duty, responsibility and adequate field to pray but there is this funny thing that happens when we pray. Let me share this with you. So, I stroke down my prayer time and prayer points which I planned to get on it one Tuesday evening. I was 'gingered' in my heart and I was really looking forward to that time. Though I had a stressful time at work but I was determined that nothing will deter me from praying. After a very light meal, and a bathe, I took my bible and got on my knees and as I started singing, my mind started wandering. I just couldn't place why my heart was playing back to the events of the day. I shoved the thoughts off and intensified my singing, and ventured into prayers. As I started praying, the thoughts came back. In fact, most of the things I forgot to do started playing into the heart. I didn't know when the thoughts clouded my mind so deeply that I couldn't concentrate anymore and ...
Dear Sister Z ,                             Don't Cover It Up There are so many times you come complaining about how you have been treated by men. You complain that they show fake love. You complain that you just don't know what the problem is. Good men aren't coming for you. Have you ever discussed with yourself? Try to have a moment of deep epiphany. You are the same sister who doesn't talk but screams. You don't even know what it means to whisper. You nag from here to Jerusalem and back. You gossip about everyone and complain about almost everything. You dress well, use good makeup but your character is faulty. Even little children find it hard to relate with you because you are always cranky. How will good men come for you? You should ask yourself some evaluating questions. If your friends were to describe you, how will they describe you? You talk to strangers anyhow and look down on ...
